ANIMAL
COMMUNICATION & HEALING

Helping Hands

Lisa Hartnett is a licensed Chiropractor specializing in Network Chiropractic. She serves animals through communication, intuitive and psychic healing and Reiki.  Home visits are available in the East Bay, the South Bay and Marin.  She also offers long-distance telephone sessions and office appointments.  Lisa was featured on Channel 5 Evening News, in the San Francisco Chronicle, the Piedmont Newspaper and the Point Reyes Light.

Sessions are intuitive and in the moment.  The magic of transformation occurs when communication and healing are facilitated.  Sessions are multifaceted, addressing the somatopsychic and structural components with Reiki and communication.

Communication serves as a needed bridge between the worlds of human and animal. One client was giving her horse to a new family to support the horse's desire for motherhood.  The horse immediately communicated her need to connect with the woman.   That weekend the woman went to the horse and the horse immediately cradled the woman's head under her jaw. The woman sobbed.  She said she felt a letting go of lifetimes and a deep sense of completion.  We are connected to life and in opening to that connection we experience fullness.

Animals can show us the preciousness of life, and often present opportunities for us to learn, see ourselves more clearly and to let go of old ways of relating that no longer serve us.   For example, there was a dog who was mean in certain situations.  Inquiring into the behavior, the dog conveyed images of dominating, forceful training she had endured when she was young.  Her caregiver sadly confirmed this.  Through a few sessions, the animal and the caretaker opened to a new way of relating that changed the quality of their life forever.

Often in a session, the caregiver(s) need support and help as well.   For example, a dog had injured its spine in an accident.  In communicating with the dog, he expressed his care and concern for his caregiver.  When told what the dog was conveying, tears of relief filled her eyes.  After that, the dog was opened to healing  through Reiki, to relieve the soreness and swelling. In addition to its trauma from the accident, the dog shared other pains and worries its tissues had absorbed from its caretakers. Through accepting healing, the animal began to let go of these pains and worries.  Our animal companions often manifest our own illnesses and diseases.

Animals sometimes need help in a variety of ways.  In one case, there was a cat whose attitude had changed after a new cat was introduced into her family.  A flower essence was recommended to help her in her adjustment to the change. In another session, a golden retriever had a skin condition throughout its life that no one could diagnose.  Through animal communication, it was revealed that the dog was allergic to its heart worm medication.  The caregiver was encouraged to look into an alternative instead.

We sometimes forget that our animal companions are perceptive and have feelings.  We have learned to domesticate them to our way of life, forgetting that their needs, desires and well-being are equal to ours.  Our relationships with our animal companions are dynamic.  Like any healthy relationship, it is reciprocal and mutual. Out of ignorance,  we tend to dominate our animals to get our needs met, thinking our needs are more important.   Transforming our relationships lies in our willingness to change the way we see things and the way we connect to life.

A  facilitator/healer can help us in seeing clearly, allowing the light of our own consciousness to bring about transformation and change.  When we are open and listening, we often find that our animal friends are here to support and teach us in our journey through life.  Our true learning is to remember our kinship with our

 four-legged friends.

TESTIMONIES

"Thanks again for all of your help with our dog, Jackson.  It certainly helped us support him in his final stage of living."

--Camilla Field, San Francisco

"I met Dr. Harnett at an animal communication workshop with Amelia Kinkade in November of 2002.  During the workshop I saw Lisa use her empathic abilities to connect with people and animals present.  Since our meeting we have worked together in numerous sessions working on each other's animal.  Her ability to combine Reiki with her intuition is very beneficial.  As a Reiki Master myself, I was acutely aware of the energy emanating from her both in person and over the phone.  During one session she specifically asked about two names that we had not previously discussed.  One was the name of a long-time friend; the other the name of a horse I had been working with.  Her accuracy confirms her gifts and supports healing by validating connections with specific energies.  I highly recommend Dr. Hartnett to anyone who would like help in identifying obstacles in relationships with animal companions, and assistance in shifting energy patterns to get healing."

"Dr. Hartnett came to my home to help Rocky, my 9-year-old Golden retriever; heal from a back injury.  She not only realigned his torqued spine with her Reiki techniques, but she quietly communicated with him.  She understood that Rocky was taking on and was burdened by the sorrow of my husband who was grieving a loss.  She shared this with us and we went through a process of freeing Rocky so he would fully heal and regain his vigor and strength.

Lisa also communicated with my 7-year-old female Golden retriever, Rainbow, and taught me to shift the way I relate to her.  In the process, Rainbow was freed from defensive and willful behavior.

The greatest gift is Dr. Hartnett's teaching so that we can go on communicating with our animals in a new way.

We are very grateful."

"I can't thank you enough for the times you came to my house.

After your visit, everything changed dramatically.  I really listened to what you said and spent more time with Zoë.  We started having some time each day for the two of us, without Panda zooming around. Her spirits brightened considerably.

Your feel for my animals is remarkable.  That first day

I was astonished how they all just came to you; even Quincy, who so rarely left her bed.  What a gift you have been to me.  Your words truly touched my heart and soul.  You told me that Panda needed a friend, a kitten just about his age, and, miracle of miracles, the day after you

left a kitten appeared on our doorstep.

I thank you for your energy and support.  You have such a wonderful gift and I appreciate your sharing it with us.  All of us have been touched by you in a very special way.  Thank you."

--Peggy, Zoë, Panda, and always Quincy, Oakland, CA

"Thank you so much.  I am grateful for your love and help. You've helped me pass through this wall full of fear of how to help my dog. I feel this growing strength and power that I know how to help him now and no longer feel powerless. You've helped clear my path.  I feel like your opening doors left and right for me personally as well. I feel so good. I feel like I've been sitting waiting for death to come get me and I don't anymore. I want to live. Thank you for helping me see my beauty again. I feel open, accessible, allowing and safe."
